Sentence Court

The following defendants were sentenced Thursday in Butler County Common Pleas Court by Judge Kelley Streib.

Anthony Donell Rue, 42, of Turtle Creek was sentenced to concurrently serve two 12- to 60-month terms in state prison and pay fines totaling $100 after pleading guilty to two felony charges of possession of a controlled substance in two cases filed by state police in February 2018 and August 2019. He was given credit for having served 182 days in prison in one case and 183 days in the other case. Two co-defendants in the February 2018 case previously pleaded guilty and have been sentenced. Jason Thomas Ewing, 36, of Butler was sentenced in October 2020 to serve 36 months of probation after pleading guilty to a charge of criminal use of a communications facility. William Smith Campbell, 72, unknown address, was sentenced to serve 11 1/2 to 23 1/2 months in prison after pleading guilty to drug possession and conspiracy charges. Rue is also facing drug possession charges, filed by state police in September 2019 in Armstrong County Common Pleas Court.

Brandon James Gurowski, 29, of Slippery Rock was sentenced to serve prison terms after pleading guilty to charges in three cases. He was sentenced to nine to 23 months in prison after pleading guilty to a charge of fleeing or attempting to elude police filed by Butler Township police following a March 15, 2021, incident. He was sentenced to concurrently serve six to 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to a charge of theft filed by state police following a March 8, 2021, incident. In addition, he was sentenced to concurrently serve six to 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance filed by Butler Township police following a March 16, 2021, incident.

Devin Lee Parker, 33, of Butler was sentenced to serve 23 months and 15 days in prison after pleading guilty to a charge of simple assault and concurrently serve six months of probation for violating a protection from abuse order for calling the simple assault victim from prison. The simple assault charge was filed by Butler City police following an August, 2, 2021, incident.

Gregory W. Lambert Jr., 28, of Vandergrift was sentenced to serve 12 to 24 months in prison and pay $1,864 in restitution after pleading guilty to a charge of simple assault filed by Middlesex Township police following a Jan. 17, 2021, incident. He was given credit for 365 days already served in prison.

Ryan Hale Sefton, 42, of Cabot was sentenced to serve up to six months in prison and given credit for 14 days already served after pleading guilty to a charge of harassment filed by Saxonburg police following a Sept. 8, 2020, incident.

Brian K. Diamond, 55, of Pittsburgh was sentenced to serve six months of probation including 30 days of house arrest, pay a $750 fine and complete alcohol highway safety school, 40 hours of community service and a victim impact panel after pleading guilty to his second driving under the influence offense filed by state police following a May 1, 2021, incident.

Misty Amber Malone, 30, of Butler was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation after pleading guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct filed by Butler City police following a Dec. 1, 2021, incident.
