North Catholic partners with Refuge for Women Pittsburgh

North Catholic High School will be partnering with Refuge for Women Pittsburgh for the performance of “Chicago: Teen Edition” at North Catholic High School on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 1 to 3.

Refuge for Women Pittsburgh is a nonprofit organization that provides long-term and emergency housing for women who have escaped human trafficking, sexual exploitation or imprisonment.

“North Catholic’s spring musical ‘Chicago: Teen Edition’ is as relevant in 2024 as it was in 1924,” said Roni Milich, community engagement coordinator for the nonprofit. “The timeless theme of exploited women, immigrants and the imprisoned moved North Catholic drama’s staff and students to partner with Refuge for Women Pittsburgh for this year’s community outreach.”

“Chicago: Teen Edition” is from the book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse and based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins.

Advance tickets are $12 dollars for adults and $8 dollars for students. All tickets are $15 at the door. For tickets, go to www.northcatholic.org/drama/shows.
