Margaret ‘Peg’ Kramer

Margaret R. “Peg” Eyles Kramer, 100, formerly of Zelienople, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, while under the care of St. John Specialty Care Center.

Born Nov. 5, 1923, in Franklin, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Enis and Essa (Avery) Jackson.

Peg graduated with her associate degree from Butler County Community College. She worked for several years as a librarian for the Zelienople Area Public Library. She was a member of the Christian Community Church in Gibsonia and was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. In her free time, Peg enjoyed gardening, camping, traveling, walking and square dancing. She also loved sewing, painting, quilting, reading, cooking, baking and crossword puzzles. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Peg will be dearly missed.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Judith Minetti and Edwin Eyles; her grandchildren, Lesley Lieb (Eric), Teresa Howard (Brion), Linda Dunn, EJ Eyles (Mallory), Amanda Johnson (Matt) and Rick Eyles; seven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, Marie Eyles.

In addition to her parents, Peg was preceded in death by her husband, James Kramer, who passed away in 2009; her son, Richard “Rick” Eyles; her sister, Elizabeth McHolland; and Harvey W. Eyles.

KRAMER — Private funeral arrangements for Margaret R. “Peg” Eyles Kramer, who died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, were entrusted to BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER OF CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.

Peg will be laid to rest at West Union Cemetery in Pine Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her honor to the Zelienople Area Public Library at zelienoplelibrary.org.
