Sentence Court

The following defendants were sentenced April 14 in Butler County Common Pleas Court by Judge Timothy McCune.

Paula Marie Moore, 51, of Lyndora was sentenced to serve a total of 66 months of probation including 119 days of house arrest, pay fines totaling $2,500 and complete a total of 80 hours of community service, litter pickup, victim impact panel and alcohol highway safety school after pleading guilty to her first and second driving under the influence offenses. The first case was filed by state police following a Sept. 4 incident and the second case was filed by Butler Township police following an Aug. 26 incident. Other charges were dismissed.

Francis L. Carroll, 54, of Erie was sentenced to serve 60 months of probation including nine months of house arrest, pay a $1,525 fine and complete 40 hours of community service, alcohol highway safety school, a victim impact panel and litter pickup after pleading guilty to his second DUI offense and careless driving filed by state police following a May 10 incident. Other charges were dismissed.

Bryan Richard Leonard, 37, unknown address, was sentenced to serve a total of 24 months of probation after pleading guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled substance filed by Butler City police following a May 13 incident. He was given no further penalty after pleading guilty to a public drunkenness charge filed by city police following a July 15 incident.

Joshua Dayne Zimmerman, 32, of Valencia was sentenced to serve six months of probation including 14 days of house arrest, pay a $1,000 fine and complete 40 hours of community service, alcohol highway safety school, a victim impact panel and litter pickup after pleading guilty to a charge of DUI filed by state police following a Sept. 26 incident. Other charges were dismissed.

Ryan Willoughby Schaub, 28, of New Brighton was sentenced to serve six months of probation including 14 days of house arrest, pay a $1,000 fine and complete 40 hours of community service, alcohol highway safety school, a victim impact panel and litter pickup after pleading guilty to a charge of DUI filed by Evans City-Seven Fields Regional police following a July 3 incident. Other charges were dismissed.

Markus Jacob Ray Lavan, 31, of Chicora was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in prison, pay a $1,000 fine and complete litter pickup and a victim impact panel after pleading guilty to a charge of DUI filed by state police following a Sept. 18, 2020, incident. Other charges were dismissed.

Danny Rea Barger Jr., 46, of New Castle was sentenced to serve six months of probation including 14 days of house arrest, pay a $2,500 fine and complete alcohol highway safety school, a victim impact panel and litter pickup after pleading guilty to a charge of DUI filed by state police following a Jan. 22, 2020, incident. Other charges were dismissed.

Joseph Gerard Green, 58, of Butler was sentenced to serve six months of probation after pleading no contest to a charge of disorderly conduct filed by state police following a Nov. 24, 2020, incident.

Dawnetta Louise Mentzer, 56, of Butler was sentenced to serve six to 18 months in prison, but was immediately paroled after pleading guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance filed by county detectives following a June 6 incident.

Robert Andrew Morrow, 29, unknown address, was sentenced to serve 18 months probation and pay a $500 fine after pleading guilty to a charge of retail theft filed by Butler Township police following a July 8 incident.

Tyler Roy Clyde, 29, of Ellwood City was sentenced to serve 60 months of probation including 12 months of house arrest, pay a fine of $1,500 and complete 40 hours of community service, alcohol highway safety school, litter pickup and a victim impact panel after pleading guilty to his second DUI offense filed by state police following a Feb. 27 incident. Other charges were dismissed.

Robert F. Slider Jr., 28, of Weirton, W.Va., was sentenced to serve 24 months of probation and pay $1,049 in restitution to Walmart after pleading guilty to a charge of retail theft filed by Cranberry Township police following Jan. 1, 2020, incident.

Brandi C. Bacome, 43, of Renfrew was sentenced to serve six months of probation including 15 days of house arrest, pay a $1,000 fine and complete 40 hours of community service, alcohol highway safety school, a victim impact panel and litter pickup after pleading guilty to a charge of DUI filed by state police following an Oct. 27 incident. Other charges were dismissed.

Robbie Wayne Spithaler, 40, of Harmony was sentenced to serve six months of probation six months of probation including 14 days of house arrest, pay a $1,000 fine and complete 40 hours of community service, alcohol highway safety school, a victim impact panel and litter pickup after pleading guilty to a charge of DUI filed by state police following a July 31 incident. Other charges were dismissed.
