SV wrestlers get past Hempfield

Seneca Valley secured three pins Wednesday night in scoring a 37-32 dual match wrestling win over Hempfield.

Connor Smith at 121 pounds, James Bidoli at 145 and Thomas Wuycheck at 215 won by fall for the Raiders. Zachary Hill at 133 and Ahmad Ahmadi at 139 won by major decision and decision, respectively, for SV in the final two matches.

Knoch 45, West Shamokin 27 — The Knights received pins from Cam Elliott, Owen Layhew, Wyatt Foster, Parker Anderson and Braylee Ireland. Knoch improved to 10-7 on the season, the first 10-win campaign in program history.

Knoch hosts Shaler on Friday to close out the regular season with Senior Night.

Boys Basketball

Trey Fleming scored 13 points and Dawson Camper 12 for Union, but the Golden Knights dropped a 69-47 boys basketball decision to Redbank Valley.

B.Minich led three Redbank Valley players in double figures, scoring 25 points.
