COLLEGES

• The Slippery Rock University music department is offering two upcoming concerts: a performance of Beethoven's “Fifth Symphony” on Sunday and a musical titled “A Tribute to America” on Nov. 11

The SRU Orchestra will present Beethoven's masterpiece at 4 p.m. Sunday in Swope Music Building. Warren Davidson, assistant professor of music, will conduct.

“A Tribute to the American Musical” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at Swope. It will feature songs from Broadway that are part of the American heritage. Donations will be accepted for music scholarships at both concerts.

• Dances originating in India will be on display when SRU presents the “Dances of India Concert” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Swope Music Hall. The concert raises funds to send SRU students to India for a four-week classical dance workshop sponsored by the dance department.

Admission is $3 for students and $5 for the public.

RMU’s Colonial Theatre presents “The Servant of Two Masters,” a comedy about a servant who madly fibs his way through a day of near disasters, as he attends to not one but two masters. The cast includes Adria Streitman of Butler. Curtain is at 8 p.m. Wednesday through Nov. 12 and at 2 p.m. Nov. 13 at Massey Hall on the Moon campus. Tickets are $10. Call 412-397-5454.
