Girls Basketball
Butler and Erie were deadlocked at 29 at halftime before the host Royals edged the Golden Tornado, 49-44.
Amelia McMichael led Butler (3-12) with 11 points, nine coming in the first half.
Highlands 56, Knoch 52 — Despite 17 points from Naturelle Ewing and 11 from CeCe Kosecki, the Knights dropped this section meeting to the Golden Rams.
Knoch fell to 8-7 overall and 3-4 in section play.

Hampton 54, Mars 42 — Meg Murray’s 38 points were too much for the Planets (8-7, 4-3), who received 12 points from Alexis Cashdollar and 10 from Carmella McDole.
North Catholic 66, Freeport 35 — Following a close first quarter, the Trojanettes (10-4, 8-0) outscored the Yellowjackets 20-5 in the second.
Alayna Rocco scored 25 points for North, Lauren Mihm added 15 and Brady Wehner 14.
Morgan Croney netted 13 points for Freeport (7-10, 3-5) and Tessa Keller scored nine for the Yellowjackets

Swimming
Mars won a pair of close meets against North Catholic, the boys winning 33-29 and the girls claiming a 42-41 decision.
Peyton Randall, a senior, won the 200-yard freestyle for the Planet boys. On the girls side, Bryn Wilson won the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly for Mars.
