Paul G. Helmstaedter, 73, of Pittsburgh, passed away Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023.

Born March 25, 1950, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Paul F. and the late Mary (Scherer) Helmstaedter.

Paul was a graduate of North Hills High School and went on to serve his country honorably in the U.S. Coast Guard. He spent many years as a jeweler and small-business owner. Paul was a member of Cranberry Elks Lodge 2249. He enjoyed playing and watching golf, the Steelers and NASCAR.

He is survived by his three sons, Jason (Bree) Helmstaedter of North Carolina, Craig (Kimberly) Helmstaedter of Butler and Mike (Ashley) Helmstaedter of Butler; five grandchildren, Hailey, Tessa, Evan, Kaydance and Kendall; one sister, Clare Adams of Freedom, Pa.; one niece; and a nephew.

HELMSTAEDTER — Family and friends of Paul G. Helmstaedter, who died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Paul's honor may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 600 River Ave., Suite 400, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
