The Armstrong Cable of today began as a small construction company in 1946.

Our founder’s mission was to provide growth and perpetuity to his employees and as such began the path of expansion that led to today’s Armstrong Group consisting of six operating companies serving the utility, security, HVAC/plumbing and manufacturing industries.

And while the companies under the Armstrong Group span across the United States, the heart of this company still resides right here in Butler.

Armstrong employs over 700 people in the Butler area in positions like customer service representatives, accountants, plumbers, engineers and IT professionals.

We’re proud to say that the average tenure of our workforce is over 12 years and many of our managers and senior leaders started at entry level positions such as cable installers and customer service agents. Through the company’s tuition assistance program and internal development programs, our employees are able to continuously enhance their professional and personal lives.

One of the greatest attributes of working at Armstrong is the family feel we have. We work hard but also take care of one another. If an employee is ever in a time of need, our employees never hesitate to jump in and help in every way imaginable. And this extends well into our communities.

Many of our employees volunteer at food pantries and other community associations. Our employees never hesitate to volunteer their time and talents to help the communities in which they live and work. A company is only as good as the employees working for it and we are proud to say we have the best employees in the business!
