Luke Smelko

The Mars Area Senior High School commencement ceremony was set for 6 p.m. June 1 on the Mars Area High School campus.

The student speakers were Sarah Hooper and Luke Smelko.

Sarah is the daughter of Patrick and Paula Hooper of Gibsonia. Sarah is a cheerleader and a member of the swim team

She plans to attend the University of Virginia as a neuroscience major.

Luke is the son of John and Jill Smelko of Mars. He is the president of Financial Literacy Club.

He plans to attend the University of Dayton where he will major in finance.

Class officers are Sydney Carr and Alexandra Organ, co-presidents; Kristin Bayuk, vice president; Leana Cuzzocrea, secretary; and Katie Ball, treasurer.
