County commissioners hosting farm town hall meeting
The Butler County commissioners are hosting a farm town hall meeting Feb. 23 at the Vagabond Center in Lyndora.
The meeting is scheduled to run from 6 to 8 p.m. featuring a variety of speakers discussing topics including the annual Butler County Farm Tour, mental health care for farmers, the county farmland preservation program and tourism.
Speakers will include Evelyn Minteer and Brittany Speer of the Butler County Farm Bureau; state Rep. Marci Mustello, R-11th; Mark Critz, western regional director of Rural Development Council; Sheryl Kelly, Butler County Farmland Preservation director; Justin Brackenrich, county agronomist from the Penn State Extension; Amy Pack of the Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau; and Sandra Curry, Community Partnership director.
The commissioners will also speak, and there will be a question and answer period.
