It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Joan M. Sienkiewicz, 84, of North Augusta, S.C., formerly of Zelienople, who died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021.

Born Sept. 25, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Cheslick) and Rudolph Zamanski.

Her love of hospitality and cooking inspired her 10-year career as a food service supervisor for Seneca Valley School District. Her persistent and dedicated work resulted in receiving numerous honors for her outstanding accomplishments.

She had a passion for traveling, gardening, fashion and shopping. As an adamant Steelers fan, she enjoyed attending games while donning her collection of the Black and Gold.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 65 years, Leonard J. Sienkiewicz, whom she married on Aug. 27, 1955; her daughters, Debora (Richard) Markich and Cynthia (Charles) Jones; her son, Marc (Kelly) Sienkiewicz; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Derek) Brumley, Richard (Stephanie) Markich Jr., Lauren (Jason) Shorr, Alexander Markich, and Tyler and Mitchell Sienkiewicz; and her great-grandchildren, Jessie and Gabriel Brumley, Aidan, Nadia and Jude Markich, and Aayla and Reylinn Shorr.

SIENKIEWICZ — Friends of Joan M. Sienkiewicz, who died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021, at the funeral home.Joan will be laid to rest at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
