School board member to resign

Lahm is moving to take new job

JACKSON TWP — Seneca Valley School Board director Jeanette Lahm announced her intention to resign Monday night.

Lahm said she has taken a new job as executive director of Laurelville, a Christian camp near Mount Pleasant, so her family will be moving out of the district after the school year ends. She has three children: one child in college, one who is a senior and one in third grade.

Lahm did not give an exact time for her departure, but wanted to make the announcement to drum up interest for a replacement for her seat before the municipal elections in November.

Lahm’s second term on the school board expires this year, and she did not run for re-election. She represents Cranberry Township East I and II Region 1, which covers the northeastern portion of the township.

A map of the regions can be found under the school board tab of the school district website at svsd.net.
