Cranberry Township seeks interim supervisor following Manipole’s retirement

Cranberry Township is seeking an interim member to join its board of supervisors following the retirement of Vice Chairman Mike Manipole.

To fill the vacant seat, the board is inviting township residents to submit letters of interest explaining why they want to serve the community and outlining any previous civic involvement.

Applicants are required to have lived in the township for at least one year and be registered voters in Pennsylvania.

“As the representatives of the Cranberry community, the board prides itself on serving with integrity, collaboration and a commitment to public service,” Chairman Bruce Hezlep said. “In addition to those crucial qualities, we want someone who will listen, lead and represent our residents with fairness and transparency.”

Manipole announced during the board’s Nov. 6 meeting he will retire effective on Dec. 10, ending 16 years of public service to the township. His six-year term was set to run through Dec. 31, 2027.

Letters to the board can be sent to Board@CranberryTownship.org and should include the applicant’s name, address, phone number and email. Any attachments should be submitted in PDF form. The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24.

The selected individual will serve the remainder of Manipole’s term.
