Cranberry Township store offering children at-home gardening kits

The Cranberry Township Tractor Supply will be providing free garden kits April 1 to local children to teach the basics of at-home gardening.

Customers can stop by the Cranberry location to receive a TSC Future Gardeners Kit, which includes essentials such as seed packs, topsoil, a bucket, and directions for watering and caring for the seedlings as they grow.

Team members will be available to answer any questions from parents or children about gardening basics, while sharing the importance of eating fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs.

“At Tractor Supply, we strive to educate and inspire underserved communities and the next generation about all things Out Here,” said store manager Jon Vinski. “The unfortunate reality is that many young people lack access to fresh produce, let alone an opportunity to see how it grows. With these kits, we can share our knowledge and provide a fun opportunity to discover the thrill of growing fruits and vegetables.”
