• The Slippery Rock University music department presents “A Tribute to the American Musical” at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Swope Music Hall. Donations will be accepted for music scholarships.

• SRU theater presents Sophocles' ‘Electra' at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and Nov. 17, 18, 20 and 21 and at 2 p.m. Nov. 20. There is no Saturday performance.

Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for general admission and are available by calling 724-738-2645.

The Tony Award-winning musical, “The Mystery of Edwin Drood,” comes to the college main stage at 7:30 p.m. today through Saturday in Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center.GCC junior Joel Richardson of Butler is serving as choreographer.Admission is free through tickets are required. Point Park's Conservatory Theatre Company presents “Illyria” Friday through Nov. 20 at the Pittsburgh Playhouse, 222 Craft Ave. The musical, akin to Shakespeare's “Twelfth Night,” begins at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.Tickets are $18 to $20 and available by calling 412-392-8000 or visiting www.pittsburghplayhouse.com. The “pay what you will” performance will be at 2 p.m. Saturday.

RMU's Colonial Theatre presents “The Servant of Two Masters,” a comedy about a servant who madly fibs his way through a day of near disasters, as he attends to not one but two masters. The cast includes Adria Streitman of Butler in the role of Smeraldina.Curtain is at 8 p.m. evenings through Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday at Massey Hall on the Moon campus. Tickets are $10.
