The Lighthouse Foundation was awarded $5,000 from the Joe Palmiero Founders Grant this month.

“The founders grant was established after my father’s passing in December 2021,” Jon Palmiero said. “He was a very giving, philanthropic individual; he believed in giving back to the community.”

Joe Palmiero founded Honda North in 2005, but he assisted Butler County families in need for over 50 years, his son said.

“We, meaning my family, have worked with the Lighthouse Foundation for years,” Jon Palmiero said. “It’s a fabulous organization.”

The Lighthouse Foundation provides Christian outreach and support to Butler County and northern Allegheny County. It operates a food pantry in Butler and offer a variety of programs for impoverished individuals and families.
