Why Remo’s for all your Catering needs? Remo’s Catering of North Pittsburgh has been serving up quality dishes for every occasion like elegant weddings, barn weddings, company picnics and full bar cocktail parties to graduations and any reason you need to have a party.

Run by Roy, Becky and Nick Mazzoleni along with Larry Kretzler, another well experienced food service professional, they continue to serve Pittsburgh and all surrounding areas with quality catering.

Remo’s was the natural progression of the family business — Frenchy’s Restaurant and La Cite in North Park, two extremely well-known staple restaurants of the Pittsburgh culinary landscape.

“There were only a handful of family-owned restaurant and catering businesses in Pittsburgh,” Roy Mazzoleni said.

The popularity of the Mazzoleni’s restaurant menus is what led to an increase in catering events years ago. We’re one of the preferred caterers for several venues in Allegheny and Butler Counties.

As well as the events mentioned above, Remo’s caters, barbecues, full service or drop off for corporate functions and picnics, bridal showers, baby showers. Remo’s also has curb service for party trays and hot and cold foods to go. No job is too big or too small for Remo’s.

“We have in-house capabilities to seat up to 120 people and cater at halls that seat up to 400 people. We do simple stuff, such as dropping off lunches for 30 people at the office, and we’ve done parties of 10,000 people,” Roy Mazzoleni said. “We have several refrigerated and hot compartment trucks and some mobile grills, which are nice for the corporate functions, pig roasts and picnic-style weddings that we do.”

What’s special about Remo’s is their commitment to service, whether it means putting together 300 boxed lunches in a 2- hour window for the Red Cross or adding the extra touch to assure their customers a successful event.

“We’ve been doing this for generations, and what we’re doing now, we’re doing better than it’s ever been done,” Roland Mazzoleni said. “We started in the restaurant business and are now one of the best in the catering business in Western Pennsylvania.

“We are members of Catersource and most of our core staff annually attend their educational seminar taught by the top catering minds in the U.S. and Canada. It’s about skill, knowledge and fresh ideas that make the difference for our customers.”

Remo’s has a great staff of employees, many of which have been with the business for a very long time.

“We’re a company where people stay. Having dedicated professionals to work with is a plus for our company,” Roland Mazzoleni said.

But it’s the food that is really the testament to Remo’s capabilities. Staple items demanded by their clients include the eggplant parmesan, pork barbeque, chicken marsala and chicken Romano.

Remo’s market base starts casual and goes to elegant. The current trends include corporate barbeques, action stations, antipasto displays, self-service buffets with curb service, and imported olive oil and vinegar bars.

“To cater your next event, call Remo’s Catering!” the Mazzolenis said.
