St. John’s UCC sets candlelight prayer service
St. John’s United Church of Christ, 501 E. Main St., Evans City, will have a candlelight prayer service of hope at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5. The event will mark the first full week of October as Mental Illness Awareness Week.
The service will be outside the church’s Main Street entrance. In the event of bad weather, the service will be in the church sanctuary.
Candles will be available for the service for a $1 donation. Proceeds will benefit NAMI Butler. (www.namibutler.org)
