New financial literacy opportunities enrich Butler County

Butler County students and residents now have access to free financial literacy resources.

Banzai gives anyone with an Internet connection a chance to learn real-world finance practices. Offered in partnership with Armco Credit Union, this program could give schools and surrounding communities practical financial knowledge.

Banzai helps students learn to manage budgets, save for goals and deal with unexpected financial pitfalls, allowing teachers to monitor and grade progress remotely. It also includes resources like articles, calculators and personal coaching sessions, addressing topics that range from tax filing to the financial dimensions of health insurance. Anyone with further interest in learning about these topics can do so at armcocu.teachbanzai.com/wellness.

“Thanks to Armco Credit Union, area students will now have access to a wide array of courses and resources designed to help prepare them for our increasingly complex world,” said Morgan Vandagriff, co-founder of Banzai. “We wouldn’t be able to provide these tools without their support.”

In addition to its work with Banzai, Armco Credit Union also offers virtual and in-person presentations and branch visits for field trips. More than 80,000 teachers across the United States use Banzai courses, which meet Pennsylvania’s state curriculum requirements, and these courses aim to foster greater awareness about financial trade-offs and long-term fiscal planning.

Teachers who wish to use Banzai can do so at armcocu.teachbanzai.com or at 888-8-BANZAI.
