Seneca students build fish habitats for Lake Arthur
Seventh-graders at Ryan Gloyer Middle School worked with the state Fish and Boat Commission to build 40 fish habitats to be placed in Lake Arthur at Moraine State Park.
The structures will begin to grow algae, which will attract insects, bait fish and eventually larger game fish to Lake Arthur.
The Seneca Valley School District announced Thursday that the community service project was coordinated by RGMS teachers Michael Conlon, Lauren Hackett, Ashley Pile, Jessica Phillips, John Roman and Matt Durst and guidance counselor Jennifer North.
