Thomas A. Kelly, 88, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Murrysville, passed away on May 4, 2022.
Born Dec. 3, 1933, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (Gallagher) Kelly.
After earning a degree from Pitt in 1955, Tom served two years in the U.S. Army, spending most of his time in Germany.
Tom enjoyed a 40-year career at Mine Safety Appliance as an industrial engineer. Most of his time at MSA was spent in the Murrysville plant, until his retirement in 1998.
During his retirement, Tom enjoyed traveling to visit with his grandkids and being in the company of his dog. He will be missed by his current dog, JayJay.
He was a faithful member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Cranberry Township.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Mary Sheila Kelly of Cranberry Township, Thomas P. (Patricia) Kelly of Yorktown, Va., Jean (Greg) Rosmon of Indian Trail, N.C., Theresa (Zane) Frund of Cranberry Township, Jo-Ann (Giuseppe) Gigliotti of Suwanee, Ga., and his favorite kid, Christopher (Jacqueline) Kelly of Plainfield, Ind.; his 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; his brothers, James of Vienna, W.Va., and William of Arlington, Tenn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Ann; his sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Kelly and Jean Martin; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Martin and John “Jack” Hunter.
KELLY — Friends of Thomas A. Kelly, who died Wednesday, May 4, 2022, were received Monday at BOYLAN-GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.
Tom will be laid to rest at Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery in Gibsonia.
