With more than a decade of marketing and public relations experience, Nicole Harrell recently was named the new director of marketing and public relations for The Salvation Army Western Pennsylvania Division.

Harrell recently moved to the area from the eastern part of the state and will serve as the lead and media contact for all marketing initiatives.

“I am honored to join this mission-based organization with such a rich history giving back,” Harrell said. “I cannot think of a better way to get to know and serve this community I now call home.”

She recently served as the director of communications for ArtsQuest, an arts and cultural nonprofit best known for Musikfest, the nation’s largest free music festival.

Before moving to Pennsylvania, Harrell worked as the first digital marketing manager for WAVE 3 News, the NBC affiliate in Louisville, Ky.
