'Tunnel Vision' wins Aquarius' Best of Show
The Best of Show for this year's Age of Aquarius festival was awarded to David Garlick of Portersville for his tapestry called "Electric Kool-Aid Tunnel Vision."
He won Best of Show last year as well for his tapestry "Good Karma." That tie dye he donated to Rock Medicine, which provides free health clinics in San Francisco.
Tie dye artist Garlick will present a tie dye workshop from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Art Center, 344 S. Main St.
Those wishing to participate should take a T-shirt, socks, pillow cases or something else made of only 100 percent cotton. Show up promptly at noon because a pre-soak in soda ash is required for all garments.
All mini-demo workshops are $5 per individual and the age range is 6 years old to adult. Children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.
