Edward Walkowiak

Edward (Ed) Ray Walkowiak, 71, of Cranberry Township, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in Cranberry Township.

Born April 4, 1950, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Edward Walkowiak and Dorothy Jamrosz Walkowiak.

Ed leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 44 years, Alberta; his daughter, Melissa (Vaughn) Ramsey; his grandchildren, Mara and Chase Ramsey; his sisters, Linda Stoklosa and Mary Lou (Frank) Kubus; his nephew, Frankie (Tracey) Kubus; and his niece, Abby Kubus.

Ed was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was employed by the United States Postal Service as a forklift driver for almost 40 years. After retiring from there, he worked part-time as a security guard.

Ed was an avid fan of the Las Vegas Raiders and the Atlanta Braves. He enjoyed building and collecting model replicas such as helicopters and cars. He took great pleasure in birdwatching and gardening. In his younger years, he loved fishing, bowling, and playing softball. Ed will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

WALKOWIAK — Services for Edward (Ed) Ray Walkowiak, who died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, will be held privately by his family.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the BOYLAN-GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SVCS., 130 Wisconsin Ave./ P.O. Box 2155, Cranberry Township.
