BHS to offer COVID vaccines for children, ages 5-11

Butler Health System is offering the Pfizer vaccination against COVID-19 for children ages 5 to 11 at vaccine clinics at Butler Memorial Hospital and Clarion Hospital following authorization from the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Children in that age group will receive a lower dose of the vaccine, but will receive two shots 21 days apart. First dose clinics will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 9 and 11, and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 13 at BMH. Second doses will be provided on or after Nov. 30, Dec. 2 and Dec. 4, respectively.

At Clarion Hospital, first clinics will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Nov. 10 and from 9 to 11 a.m. Nov. 13 and second doses will be provided on or after Dec. 1 and Dec. 4, respectively.
