Trojanettes advance in 2A soccer

Jayden Sharpless tallied two goals while teammates Tehya Dave and Brittany Cullen scored one apiece in North Catholic's 4-0 victory over Yough in Saturday's WPIAL Class 2A girls soccer quarterfinal playoff, held at the Mars Athletic Complex.

Rylee Kumer earned the shutout in net for the Trojanettes (16-1).

North, the tournament's No. 1 seed, will face No. 5 Shady Side Academy in a semifinal at 6 p.m. Tuesday at North Allegheny's Newman Stadium.
