Open houses at BC3 campuses

Butler County Community College will host open houses at both its main campus and BC3 @ Cranberry in late October.

They will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 21 at 250 Executive Drive in Cranberry Township, and from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 26 at 107 College Drive in Butler Township.

Interested students can explore the programs at both campuses and learn about the community college's transferrable credits and affordability.

Additionally, BC3 will host an information session for prospective nursing students at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 26.

Those in attendance will be able to tour classrooms and facilities, review financial costs and aid and explore instructional formats at the college's two campuses. They also can learn about its career and transfer programs.

By the numbers, BC3's main campus offers 19 transfer and 32 career programs for associates degrees, and its Cranberry satellite offers degrees in four career and six transfer programs.

Nearly three-quarters of BC3 students this fall are enrolled in transfer programs. Applicants who apply at an open house will have their $25 application fee waived.

Those in attendance will be required to wear a face covering and will be permitted to bring one guest.
