County HOF fete slated Sept. 25
LYNDORA — Their wait will soon be over.
The 55th Butler County Sports Hall of Fame induction dinner — honoring 10 individuals and the 1972 Karns City High School boys basketball team — will take place at 6 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Lyndora American Legion Hall.
Shawn Bellis, Fred Powell, Joe Heitzer, David Crummy, Jack Hartung, Olivia Bresnahan, Tyrell Sales, Bill McElroy, Don Hinchberger and the late John Benton are members of the HOF's 2020 class.
Their inductions were originally scheduled for April 25, 2020, but the event was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was rescheduled for early August of that summer, only to be postponed again.
