Ronald J. Spero, 83, of Valencia, passed away with his family by his side on Saturday afternoon, Aug. 28, 2021, at Paramount Senior Living in Adams Township.

Born in Pittsburgh on May 12, 1938, he was the son of the late William C. and Frances Schad Spero.

Ron had been a route manager for the Pittsburgh Post Gazette and was a member of the Teamster's Union.He attended St. Kilian Church in Cranberry Township. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus at Nativity Parish, where he was also an usher and had been a basketball coach.Ron had served in the United States Air Force during peacetime.Surviving are his three daughters, Gail Spero-Burrell of Mars, Marsha Spero-Palermo of Wexford and Cynthia Spero-Stein (Brian) of Valencia; his grandchildren, Sahara, Peter and Portland Canovali of Wexford; a sister, Myrna Spero-Wittebort of Butler; a brother, William Spero of South Hills, and nieces and nephews.SPERO — Friends of Ronald J. Spero, who died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township, with Fr.
