John Camus Sr.

John Camus Sr.

John Michael Camus Sr., 55, of Sarasota, Fla., and formerly of Evans City, passed away on Aug. 7, 2021, as a result of a COVID-19 infection.

Born in 1965, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Margarite D. and Alfred A. Camus Jr. of Cranberry Township.

John spent his childhood years growing up in McCandless Township, and he graduated from North Allegheny High School in 1984.

John moved to Cranberry Township, and then resided in Evans City, where he worked in the HVAC field.

John had a passion and a talent for restoring classic cars. John participated in car shows, where he was awarded numerous trophies for his work. In 2018, John moved to the Sarasota, Fla., area where he resided until his death.

John will be greatly missed by his family, friends, co-workers, and members of the classic car communities in Pennsylvania and in Florida.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his parents; his sons, Tony Camus (mother Eleanor M. Camus), and John M. Camus Jr.; his companion, Constance Tate; and his brothers, Al Camus, Tim Camus (Judy), and Kurt Camus.

CAMUS — A friends and family gathering for John Michael Camus Sr., who died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021, will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, at Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.

An additional gathering time will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, at the funeral home, with Pastor Lisa Griffin officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his honor to Lance's Cruzin to the Hop Car Shows, 4184 Lancaster Drive, Sarasota, FL 34241.
