A community celebration of life and butterfly release will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Butler Fairgrounds, 1127 New Castle Road.

The service will include a special memorial dedicated to those touched by COVID-19 and will include music, poems and a reading of the names of those honored or memorialized followed by the butterfly release.

The butterflies will be released by hospice employees and volunteers in commemoration of the VNA Hospice's 40th anniversary.
