Brewery to open in Cranberry

Gastropub will bring new jobs

Recon Brewing is opening a Cranberry Township location in the Meeder development April 14.

Dave Bestwick said he and Recon Brewing co-owners Toby Wehr and Nathan Bacher were looking to expand their Butler operation in a community-driven area.

Meeder provided the right set of circumstances, according to Bestwick.

He said opening the gastropub, which has a patio area for outside dining, brings 14 new jobs to the area.

“We're all about being involved in the community,” Bestwick said.

Recon Brewing will be open for lunch and dinner six days a week.

Bestwick said the restaurant will also host live music events throughout the month.

Recon Brewing uses a seven-barrel brew system to craft its beers in Butler. Bestwick said this means brews are always fresh and local.

That's one of three things Recon Brewing is known for, according to Bestwick.

“Great staff, really good beer and tasty food,” Bestwick said.

Information about Recon Brewing's two locations is available online at https://www.reconbrewing.com/.

Visitors can also learn more on the brewery's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
