'Indian Summer' play back on

The romantic comedy “Indian Summer” that was canceled in October because one of the actors had been exposed to the coronavirus has been rescheduled at a different venue for early November.

The cast led by Butler native Shannon Donovan includes Gabe Reed of Ohio, Kyle DePasquale of Pittsburgh, and Don Shearer of Butler.

After being abandoned by his mother while vacationing at a Rhode Island beach, Daniel (DePasquale) is staying with his windowed grandfather, George (Shearer). Izzy (Donovan) meets Daniel and begins to act more like herself, and Daniel becomes stronger. Reed plays Izzy’s boyfriend, Jeremy.

“The show’s about the nature of relationships and the unfairness of circumstance, and about how time waits for no one,” Donovan said.

The play includes adult language and is not recommended for those under age 16. Curtain is at 7 p.m. Nov. 5 and 8 and 1 p.m. Nov. 7 at Steamworks Creative, 4967 William Flynn Highway, #6, Gibsonia. Admission is free, but reservations are required and may be made by emailing livingyardtheatrecompany@gmail.com.
