Cranberry, Butler Twp. remain alive in tourney loser's bracket

Zach Snyder belted a three-run home run and Matt Lewis pitched a complete-game shutout as Cranberry Township remained alive in the Butler County Area Baseball League's double-elimination tournament with a 7-0 victory over Center Township at Graham Park Saturday evening.

Butler Township stayed alive in the tourney by posting a 27-11 win over Karns City. Zack Slomers had three hits and reached base four times. Mattix Clement contributed three hits and Remy Pardo had a multi-hit game, including a double.

Josh Bonetti, the first of four Butler Township pitchers, got the win.

Cranberry will face Butler Township at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Highfield Park. That winner plays at Freeport Thursday night.

Pine Richland faces the survivor in the tourney championship round Saturday.
