A Cranberry Township-based accounting and business consulting firm will merge with a company based out of Johnstown that provides similar services, according to a corporate announcement.

Perry & Company PC has been headquartered in Cranberry Township since 2008 and has expanded with offices in Greensburg and Aliquippa. The company will officially merge July 1 with Wessel & Company, a consulting firm that was founded more than 60 years ago. Wessel & Company also has offices in Ebensburg and Bedford.

“The merger strengthens our regional reach and furthers our goal of providing the best possible service to our clients. This will also allow us to streamline our processes and further strengthens the firm’s reputation in Pennsylvania,” said Wessel & Company CEO Joel Valentine in a prepared statement.

The firms assured clients and team members that the transition process will be as smooth as possible and the new company will operate out of the combined six offices throughout the region.
