Hockey team raises funds for ALS
The Mars High School varsity hockey team collected $1,267 as part of an Ice ALS Night fundraiser.
The team had shirt sales, basket raffles, prize drawings and guest speakers during a home game against Quaker Valley Feb. 27. In lieu of game admission, visitors were asked to make a donation at the door.
The funds will go to the ALS Association Western Pennsylvania Chapter.
