SV students to return April 15

JACKSON TWP — If Gov. Tom Wolf or the Pennsylvania Department of Education doesn’t issue further school break extensions in the next two weeks, Seneca Valley students will be returning to school April 15.

In a news release issued Tuesday to families, the district recognized the PDE’s decision to return to school April 9.

However, because the district scheduled spring break for April 9 through 14, Seneca Valley officials said they “intend to honor those days.”

“Many of our families have indicated that they will want to visit with their extended family members, and our students will likely need a break from their remote learning,” the release says.

The release continues to say if the state doesn’t issue any other closure extensions, Seneca Valley students will physically return to classes April 15.

District buildings remain closed and events remain canceled until further notice.
