Middlesex supervisors OK seven housing, lot plans

MIDDLESEX TWP — Supervisors approved seven housing and lot plans Wednesday night, including Hawkins Crest, after several community members voiced their concerns over the environmental impact of township development in general.

Hawkins Crest is a single-family residential development that would sit north of Route 228 and west of Harbison Road. It would convert four parcels totaling 61 acres of agricultural land into 50 single-family housing lots.

The plan, which got final approval from the planning commission in January, received final approval from supervisors Wednesday night.

Fieldstone Ridge would convert about 87 acres into a 62-lot plan. Twenty lots would be more than an acre in size, with the remaining 42 being either .75 or 1 acre. Public water would be brought down Route 8 and connected to the plan.
