A two-car collision slowed traffic on a portion of Route 228 in Cranberry Township on Wednesday afternoon. The crash, which reduced eastbound Route 228 to one lane, occurred just after 2 p.m. at the intersection of the state route and Franklin Road. A red sedan had full airbag deployment and front-end damage, coming to rest facing east on Route 228. A silver sedan had heavy damage to the driver’s side at the engine compartment, coming to rest facing north on Franklin Road.
