Man pleads guilty in Cranberry Twp. bank robbery
PITTSBURGH - Michael Ryan Neppach pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to the August robbery of a Cranberry Township PNC Bank.
According to prosecutors, Neppach, 40, entered the PNC on Route 19 near North Boundary Road around 5 p.m. Aug. 28 and handed a teller a note saying he had a weapon, and telling her to hand him money.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey Bengel told District Judge Nora Barry Fischer the sentencing guidelines for Neppach will likely recommend that he serve 57 to 71 months in prison and pay the bank $1,400 — the amount taken during the robbery — in restitution.
