Adams supervisors laud Reismeyer for service

"Dorothy Reismeyer (second from right) was recognized Monday night at the Adams Township supervisor meeting for serving more than 40 years with Quality EMS."

ADAMS TWP — Adams Township Supervisor Linda Lees presented several honors to Dorothy Reismeyer at Monday night’s meeting.

Reismeyer has worked for Quality EMS — which she established in 1994 — for 25 years. She retired in August and was recognized for 43 years of dedicated emergency service volunteerism.

“You have done a lot for Adams Township,” Lees said.

Lees presented Reismeyer with plaques and citations from both the Pennsylvania House and Senate.

“Saying that you have worked hard and you need a rest,” Lees joked of the plaques.

Lees also presented Reismeyer with the supervisors’ Lifetime Volunteer Service Award for “unprecedented lifetime commitment” through Quality EMS and other volunteer work.

“(We’re) honoring you,” Lees said.

“Thank you for your volunteer service,” said Thomas Franceschina, supervisors chairman.
