The Cranberry Township Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating an identity theft suspect.

CRANBERRY TWP — The township's police department is searching for a suspect who they said used a Cranberry Township resident's identification to open a Kohl's credit account.

Based on her purchasing history, the suspect might have ties to Butler and New Castle, police said.

Police could not be reached for further comment. It was unclear if any charges were made to the credit account.
