SLIPPERY ROCK - Slippery Rock University will present the Washington, D.C.-based, Edgeworks Dance Theater's performance of "Fearless Measures" at 6 p.m. Saturday in Miller Auditorium.
There also will be a pre-concert reception at 5 p.m. in the lobby of Carruth Rizza Hall.
The all-male contemporary dance company will present its viscerally charged dance project based on personal experiences, dialogues on masculinity, current social issues and workings of human relationships from African-American perspectives.
With gentle gestures, full-bodied, quick-fire movement, sustained lyrical dancing, non-traditional partnering and gymnastic physicality, the performance troupe explores the dynamic energetic possibility of dance.
A question-and-answer discussion will follow the performance.
