Mars library hosting programs in February

MARS — The following programs are scheduled for February at the Mars Public Library.

- A free program on estate planning and elder law is scheduled for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Topics will include wills versus trusts, how to maintain savings, Medicaid eligibility, asset protection from long-term care costs, how to avoid probate and how to ensure children receive their inheritance.

- Steam Saturday on Feb. 16 will focus on electric circuits and how to create a simple circuit.

- A presentation on “Marketing the Presidency” is set for 1 p.m. Feb. 21. Steve Mihaly, a longtime collector of American political history articles, will show off his collection from past presidents, from George Washington to current day.

- A “Basics of Shoeing and Hoof Care” program will be presented from 7 to 8:30 p.n. Feb. 28 by Jill Beidl-McCandless. The program will cover shoeing, hoof care and prevalent diseases affecting lameness in hoofed animals.
