IMPERIAL — Seneca Valley’s softball season ended with a wild seventh inning in the first round of the WPIAL Class 6A playoffs Tuesday night.

The Raiders (12-6) took a 10-9 lead into the seventh against Peters Township at West Allegheny High School. The Indians scored seven runs in the frame to take the lead.

The Raiders responded with three runs of their own in the bottom of the seventh, but fell short in a 16-13 loss.

Lauren Pasquale hit a two-run homer for SV in the second inning.

Peters Township improved to 10-8 on the season and advances to the second round.

Seneca Valley had a three-game winning streak snapped with the loss.
