Car, truck crash at intersection

ZELIENOPLE — A two-vehicle accident happened Tuesday around 4 p.m. at the intersection of Timberbrook Drive and Route 68, according to Harmony Fire District Deputy Chief Rob Reeb.

A woman driving a car north on Timberbrook Drive was turning left onto Route 68 when her vehicle collided with a semitruck being driven by a man heading east on Route 68.

The collision caused her vehicle to spin out before coming to a stop.

The woman was trapped inside the vehicle, so Harmony firefighters cut the car to free her. Reeb said she suffered from no obvious injury, but was dazed and transported by Harmony EMS to a hospital to be checked over.

The woman’s car sustained severe front-end and driver’s side damage and was towed. The truck had front-end damage, but was not towed.

Route 68 was closed for about 40 minutes following the accident. The Zelienople Police Department also responded to the accident.

Names of the drivers were not available.
